Car & Ferry
Uig to Tarbert Ferry
Drive through the Highlands of Scotland to Kyle of Lochalsh via Fort William and Eilean Donan Castle, enjoy incredible views of the craggy Cuillin mountains on Skye and arrive at Uig in good time for your ferry to Tarbert on Harris. Ullapool to Stornoway ferry
Drive through the Highlands on the A9 to Inverness and then on the A835 to Ullapool, where you catch the ferry to Stornoway, the largest town on the joint Island of Lewis and Harris. Beachside is an hour’s drive from Stornoway. For Caledonian-Macbrayne ferry times go to www.calmac.co.uk
Island Hopping!
Drive to Mallaig from Fort William and take the ferry to Lochboisdale on South Uist. Drive through the Uists to Berneray and take the ferry from there to Leverburgh on Harris. Flight and Car Hire
Fly to Stornoway direct from Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Inverness or Manchester and hire a car from Carhire Hebrides (www.carhire-hebrides.co.uk). Loganair connects from many other airports as well. For details consult www.loganair.co.uk.
Fly to Inverness from many different places and hire a car from Focus Vehicle Rentals (www.focusvehiclerental.co.uk) who will meet and greet you with keys and car. Drive to either the Ullapool or Uig ferry terminals and on to Beachside as described above
